01 — The Beginning

The Record Behind the Publication

Arelin Review began as a personal supplement journal — a private record of what worked, what didn't, and what the independent research actually said when stripped of its commercial context. The founding editor, Marcus Chen, had spent several years navigating the men's supplementation landscape without a reference point that combined editorial rigour with genuine practical observation.

The existing resources in this space fell into two broad categories: those oriented primarily around product promotion, and those oriented around academic literature in a format inaccessible to most men going about ordinary active lives. Arelin Review was established to occupy the gap between the two: editorially independent, evidence-informed, and written in the register of a publication rather than a storefront.

The publication launched in January 2026 from Jakarta, Indonesia. The city's specific context — warm and humid climate, indoor working culture, a growing community of active men navigating the intersection of local food culture and internationally sourced supplement products — shaped the initial editorial direction. The first three records examined vitamin D and magnesium, creatine, and the broader omega-3, zinc, and B vitamin tier of a men's daily stack.

Editorial Principles

Arelin Review operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

01
Evidence-First Selection

Topics are selected based on the available body of published nutritional research. The archive does not cover supplements or nutritional claims without an established independent evidence basis.

02
Editorial Independence

Arelin Review accepts no sponsored content, affiliate commissions, or product placements. All supplement references are based on independent editorial assessment, not commercial arrangement.

03
Source Citation

Published nutritional research is cited where available. The archive distinguishes between findings from independent peer-reviewed sources and observations from editorial journalling practice.

04
Wellness Scope, Not Guidance

Content published on Arelin Review is editorial in nature. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.
