Arelin Review
How We Work

Standards of the Publication.

Arelin Review operates under editorial principles developed for independent nutrition journalism. The following outlines how content is selected, researched, reviewed, and published.

Arelin Review is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

Editorial Principles
01

Second-Editor Review

Arelin Review operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

Every piece submitted to Arelin Review passes through a structured review process. The primary writer submits a draft with source annotations. A second editorial voice reads for factual consistency, vocabulary alignment with published nutritional research, and register. Only once both editors have signed off does the article proceed to publication scheduling.

This two-step process was adopted in the publication's founding year and has remained consistent. It slows the editorial calendar by an average of four to six working days per piece, which the team regards as acceptable overhead for the accuracy it provides.

02

Source Verification

Content published by Arelin Review is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. Sources are cited inline where available and relevant.

The editorial team draws on published nutritional research as the primary layer of evidence when selecting and framing article topics. Where a nutritional observation is well-documented across multiple independent publications, writers are encouraged to cite at least two sources.

Where peer-reviewed literature is unavailable for a specific claim, the editorial team defaults to flagging the observation as observational rather than documented. This distinction is carried into the writing itself, not merely noted in a footnote.

Writers are asked to distinguish between: findings from published nutritional journals, observations from independent nutrition writers, and the editorial team's own field notes on supplementation patterns. The three tiers are weighted accordingly in how content is presented.

03

Corrections Policy

Factual corrections are appended to the original article within the body of the published piece, dated and noted clearly. Corrections are never made silently.

When a reader or writer identifies a factual inconsistency, the editorial team reviews the claim against the original source material. If the correction is confirmed, the article is updated and a note is appended at the base of the piece indicating the nature of the correction and the date it was made.

Arelin Review does not remove or rewrite content to conceal earlier inaccuracies. The correction note is the permanent record of what changed and when. This approach follows standard practices observed in independent editorial publications across the nutrition and active lifestyle space.

04

Commercial Disclosure

Writers are required to disclose any commercial relationships, product affiliations, or personal associations that could reasonably influence their selection of subject matter or framing.

Arelin Review does not accept sponsorship from supplement brands in exchange for editorial coverage. Guest writers are asked to confirm at submission stage whether they have any existing relationship with supplement producers, distributors, or endorsement arrangements.

Where a disclosed relationship is deemed low-risk by the editorial team, the article may still proceed to publication with a disclosure note appended. Where the relationship introduces a reasonable risk of editorial bias, the piece is either declined or reassigned to an independent second writer for a counterbalancing perspective.

How Arelin Review Chooses What to Cover

The editorial calendar is shaped by reader correspondence, emerging patterns in published nutritional research, and the team's own observations of how supplementation habits are evolving in active men's daily routines.

Reader-Led

A significant share of Arelin Review's published articles trace back to a reader question or piece of correspondence. The editorial team monitors incoming messages for recurring themes. When a subject appears with frequency, it is elevated to the planning calendar.

Research-Led

Editors monitor published nutritional research across a range of independent nutrition journals. Where a new body of observation aligns with the publication's focus on everyday active men's supplementation, it is flagged for editorial development.

Seasonal Patterns

Supplementation habits shift across the calendar year. Vitamin D patterns in winter months, protein intake around training cycles, iron awareness among men with high physical output — these seasonal rhythms inform a portion of the editorial calendar each quarter.

Field Notes

The editorial team maintains ongoing notes on supplementation patterns observed in daily routines. These field observations serve as the foundation for the publication's original content, distinct from aggregated research summaries.
